Kodura Subnet Calculator and other Kodura tools
Email support@kodura.io. A real person reads it. Bug reports and feature requests are both welcome: this is a small shop, so what users ask for genuinely shapes what gets built.
Reporting a bug
The more of this you can include, the faster it gets fixed:
- What you typed or pasted, exactly
- What the app showed, and what you expected instead
- Your iOS version and device model
- A screenshot, if it is something you can see
Common questions
Why does it say /24 when I only typed an address?
An address on its own does not carry a prefix, so the app starts at /24: the most common case. Drag the bit ruler, or use the − and + buttons, to change it. Everything below updates as you move it.
Why is the broadcast address “None”?
On a /31 there is not one. RFC 3021 point-to-point links use both addresses for hosts, so there is no broadcast address to report. A /32 is a single host, likewise. Some calculators print a broadcast address anyway; it is wrong.
What does the BINARY button do?
It shows the binary form under each address and mask, which makes it obvious why a given prefix produces a given mask. Useful when studying for CCNA or Network+. IPv4 only: IPv6 is not read in binary in practice.
Can I paste output straight from a terminal?
Yes, that is the point. It reads ifconfig output including hex netmasks,
ip addr output, Cisco running-config and show ip interface brief,
and addresses buried in ordinary prose. Paste the whole block; it will find the network
inside it.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated on your device. See the privacy policy for the full detail, including what the advertising provider collects.
