Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 October 2026

This policy covers the apps published by Kodura LLC (“Kodura”, “we”): Kodura Subnet Calculator, Kodura SSL Analyzer and Kodura Network Tools, all for iOS. They differ in one respect (only the Subnet Calculator shows advertising) so each is described separately below. The kodura.io website, including its free tools, has its own section.

The short version

We do not collect anything, in any of the apps. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. We operate no servers that receive data from the apps, we have no analytics SDK, and we have no way to see what you calculate or scan, when you use the apps, or that you have installed them at all.

What Kodura collects

From the apps, nothing. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete.

Kodura Network Tools

No advertising, no third-party SDK of any kind, and no data collection. The hostnames you have recently used are kept in a file inside the app on your device so you do not have to retype them; they never leave it, and deleting the app deletes them.

As with the SSL Analyzer, one thing is worth stating plainly because it is inherent to what the app does: ping, traceroute, path MTU discovery, DNS lookups and port checks all connect your device directly to the host or resolver you name. Those servers see the connection, including your IP address. Nothing is routed through Kodura, and we have no record of what you looked up.

Kodura SSL Analyzer

No advertising, no third-party SDK of any kind, and no data collection. Scan history is written to a file inside the app on your device and never leaves it. Deleting the app deletes the history with it.

One thing is worth stating plainly, because it is inherent to what the app does: when you scan a host, your device connects directly to that host over the network. The operator of that server sees the connection, including your IP address, exactly as it would if you had opened the site in a browser. Nothing about the scan is routed through Kodura.

Kodura Subnet Calculator

Addresses you type or paste are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

This app displays a banner advertisement supplied by Google AdMob. Requests are sent with the non-personalised flag set, which means ads are chosen without building an advertising profile of you. The SSL Analyzer contains no advertising and none of the following applies to it.

The app does not request the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you.

Google’s SDK declares that it collects the following, for advertising and analytics purposes:

DataLinked to you
Device identifierYes
Coarse locationYes
Advertising dataYes
Product interactionYes
Diagnostic dataNo
Performance dataNo
Crash dataNo

Coarse location here means an approximate region derived from your network connection, not GPS. The app never asks for location permission and cannot read your precise location.

This data goes to Google, not to us. Google’s handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

The kodura.io website

The website counts visits, unlike the apps. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across other sites. It tells us which pages are read, roughly where visitors are in the world, and which sites sent them: not who they are.

The free tools also count that they were used: each tool reports its own name, whether it worked, and your country as your connection reports it. It never reports what you typed (the address, hostname or record) and no IP address is stored.

What each tool sends, and to whom:

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is held by Buttondown, our email provider, for that purpose only. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

If you use the form on the contact page, the name, email address, company, message, the topic you pick and the page that sent you to the form (a page on this site, or just the name of another site) are emailed to us through our email delivery provider, so that we can reply. They are kept in our mailbox for that purpose only, never added to the newsletter, and never shared. Email us and we will delete them.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

Your rights

The apps and the website’s analytics hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete. If you subscribed to the newsletter or used the contact form, email us and we will delete your details. To limit ad personalisation more broadly on your device, see Google’s ad settings and your iOS privacy settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
